Wayback Burgers, Bellevue, WA – 69% increase customer counts &
42% higher sales during Grand Opening Month
The store opened in February, 2016 customer counts and sales were underperforming with respect to other stores that opened within 12 months prior. IMS began working with the client in April/May of that year.
Our first WB franchisee to work with was the owner of the Bellevue store. IMS developed a new Opening Launch & Grand Opening Plan. A new social media plan was implemented in combination with the new direct response mail program to select postal carrier routes in a 3-mile radius and a B2B employee targeted marketing program to businesses with 20+ employees in a two-mile radius.
Documented results indicated a 69% increase in customer counts and 42% increase in sales during the month of June (the Grand Opening month). Lunch customer counts increase 45% from the B2B initiatives targeted to the employees. Sales continued to increase with the Extended Marketing Plan through October.
✓ We changed the social media strategy targets, added posts including specific menu items w/ photos and special Grand Opening promotions.
✓ Modified the direct mail strategy from shared mail to highly targeted select postal carrier routes based on income within 3-miles of the store
✓ B2B program included the target list of businesses in a 2-mile radius w/ 20+ employees with a lunch special of a Free Milkshake with each order Monday – Thursday 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
✓ Fundraiser during the Grand Opening weekend with local kid’s charity with supports and constituents attended at the Ribbon Cutting. Great turnout of parents and supporters.
Robeks Smoothies, Ashburn, VA – 136 new customers in 30 days
Store had been open 8 years. Sales were flat with no growth for 18 months
and new competitors had opened. With a limited budget (less that $500),
we developed and initiated a Local Store Marketing Plan to target
businesses in a 3-mile radius w/ 20+ employees with a special offer of
“Buy One Smoothie, Get One Free” and “$3.00 off for Registering in the
Robeks Reward Program”.
Results – generated 136+ new customers during the 30-day promotion
from employees of these target businesses within a 3-mile radius. Sales
the following month increased 56%.
Island Fin Poke, Worcester, MA –
“Enter to Win a Year of Free Poke Bowls” Database
Campaign 1,032 “opt-in” signups in 2 ½ Months
2 ½ months before opening, the franchisee placed the Facebook ads and
posts resulting in only 35 ‘likes’. IMS initiated the “Enter to Win a Year of
Free Poke Bowls” and the program surpassed the FB ‘likes’ in one
month…after 2 ½ months there were 1,032 “opt-in” sign ups in the
database from the “Enter to Win….” Campaign compared to 756 FB
‘likes’.
The “Opening Soon” and “Opening Day” marketing messages were sent
to all 1,032 cell phone numbers and email addresses resulting in over
110 customers on Opening Day with no special offer.

“Enter to Win a Year of Free Poke Bowls” Database
Campaign 1,032 “opt-in” signups in 2 ½ Months
2 ½ months before opening the “Enter to Win a Year of Free Poke Bowls” Database
Campaign was initiated resulting in 665 “opt-in” signups. Two days before opening, a
marketing message was sent to the database for a “Free Poke Bowl Saturday 11:00
AM – 12:30 PM”. 119 bowls were served and 70 were turned away.
